QueryInvocation

Struct QueryInvocation

Source
pub struct QueryInvocation { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

One executable invocation of a reusable validated plan.

The invocation carries values and an operation; the plan carries all reusable structure. Binding is by exact plan fingerprint, so a plan edit invalidates every outstanding invocation instead of silently reshaping it.

Implementations§

Source§

impl QueryInvocation

Source

pub fn new( plan: &QueryPlan, operation: QueryOperation, inputs: Vec<InputRow>, ) -> Result<Self, Diagnostic>

Validate one rectangular input batch against its exact plan.

Source

pub fn inputs(&self) -> &[InputRow]

Return the rectangular validated input rows.

Source

pub const fn operation(&self) -> QueryOperation

Return the requested operation.

Source

pub const fn plan_fingerprint(&self) -> &QueryPlanFingerprint

Return the exact plan fingerprint this invocation binds.

Source

pub fn binds(&self, plan: &QueryPlan) -> Result<bool, Diagnostic>

Return whether this invocation still binds the supplied plan.

Source

pub fn transport_capabilities(&self) -> CapabilitySet

Return capabilities this invocation’s transport requires beyond the plan’s own.

A multi-row input batch rides the native given transport. A single row with an absent optional cell also requires given, because inline literal substitution has no absence spelling. Datetime-tz inputs use given at every cardinality so named and fixed/second-offset values have one exact lowering. Both client preflight and executor admission check this set against the advertisement so untransportable invocations fail before any I/O or provider resource.
