Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

Deferred

BEGIN DEFERRED, the default: locks are taken by the first statement.

Immediate

BEGIN IMMEDIATE: the write lock is taken now, so a writer finds out about contention before doing any work.

Exclusive

BEGIN EXCLUSIVE: the exclusive lock is taken now.

Concurrent

BEGIN CONCURRENT: an optimistic MVCC transaction whose conflicts surface at commit. Requires ConnectOptions::mvcc.
