Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

Fresh

The key is new; the entry is now persisted as Pending.

Resume

The key exists in Pending or Executing: a previous attempt was interrupted and this one resumes it by key (§23.1).

Settled(Box<JournalOutcome>)

The key exists with a recorded outcome. The original outcome is returned and nothing runs again (I14).
