#[non_exhaustive]pub enum PartProvenance {
Authored,
Derived,
Recorded,
}Expand description
Where a part of an item came from.
Three values, not two, and the third is the one that costs money when it is missing. See the module documentation.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Authored
A person wrote it and a person maintains it. The default for anything a corpus does not declare.
It should not change between two runs of the same experiment, and if it did, the two runs were not the same experiment.
Derived
The code under test writes it, so changing that code changes the item.
Tooling may regenerate it. A change to it is the intended effect of the change being measured, not a broken pairing.
Recorded
Lifted from what the system actually emitted, and kept as testimony.
No tooling may regenerate it. A recorded part that differs between two runs is a defect in the corpus or in whatever touched it — never a result about the model, and never something to fold into a score.
Implementations§
Source§impl PartProvenance
impl PartProvenance
Sourcepub const fn may_be_regenerated(self) -> bool
pub const fn may_be_regenerated(self) -> bool
Returns true when tooling is allowed to rewrite this part.
Only Derived is. An authored part belongs to the
person who wrote it, and a recorded part is evidence.
