Per-layer activation statistics computed in a single pass over the data.
Named ActivationLayerStats to distinguish it from
model_diagnostics::LayerActivationStats which uses f64 fields with
different names.
Fields§
§layer_name: String§mean: f32§std: f32§min: f32§max: f32§zero_fraction: f32Fraction of values that are exactly zero.
saturation_fraction: f32Fraction of values whose absolute magnitude exceeds 0.99 * |max_abs|.
Implementations§
Source§impl ActivationLayerStats
impl ActivationLayerStats
Sourcepub fn compute(layer_name: &str, activations: &[f32]) -> Self
pub fn compute(layer_name: &str, activations: &[f32]) -> Self
Compute statistics from raw activation values.
Sourcepub fn is_dead(&self, threshold: f32) -> bool
pub fn is_dead(&self, threshold: f32) -> bool
Returns true when the zero fraction exceeds the given threshold.
A layer is considered “dead” when most of its activations are zero (common symptom of a collapsed ReLU).
Sourcepub fn to_summary_line(&self) -> String
pub fn to_summary_line(&self) -> String
Return a compact one-line summary suitable for logging.
