Fields

role: SectionRole

Semantic role used by selectors (for example, anchor vs context text).

heading: Option<String>

Optional short heading/title for this section.

text: String

Full section text.

sentences: Vec<Sentence>

Sentence-level segmentation of text used by chunking strategies.

token_count: usize

Precomputed token count for this section, populated during section construction.

embedding: Option<Arc<[f32]>>

Optional precomputed embedding for this section’s text.

Populated by sources that already hold vectors (e.g. SRD stores); None for text-only sources. The sampler treats this as opaque payload: it is cloned by Arc into chunks materialized from this section and never interpreted, compared, or persisted (transient — re-ingested from the source on resume).
