Expand description

A successfully parsed, validated Command Mode input.

Each variant carries exactly the arguments it needs; the parser rejects inputs that don’t match the expected arity or content constraints.

Variants§

§

Mkdir(String)

Create a directory with the given name inside the current directory.

§

Touch(String)

Create an empty file with the given name inside the current directory.

§

Rename(String)

Rename the currently selected entry to new_name.

§

Mv(String)

Move the selected entry to dest (relative or absolute path).

§

Cp(String)

Copy the selected entry to dest (relative or absolute path).

§

MvMatching

Move every entry of cwd matching pattern into the directory dest.

Fields

§pattern: String

A name with * or ? in it, matched against the current directory.

§dest: String

Destination, which has to be an existing directory: several files cannot be moved onto one path.

§

CpMatching

Copy every entry of cwd matching pattern into the directory dest.

Fields

§pattern: String

A name with * or ? in it, matched against the current directory.

§dest: String

Destination, which has to be an existing directory.

§

Git(String)

Run a git subcommand string (e.g. "init", "status --short") as git <subcommand> through [general] shell, holding the screen afterwards per [general] shell_pause.

§

Set

Set a runtime config key to a value, through TrailConfig::set_value.

Fields

§value: String
§

Sort

Re-order the active tab’s listing: :sort [key] [reverse].

by is None when the command named only reverse, which flips the order already in use rather than choosing a new one.

Fields

§by: Option<SortBy>

The key to order by, or None to keep the current one.

§reverse: bool

Whether to flip the resulting order.

§

Shell(String)

Execute an arbitrary shell command string.

§

Bookmark(String)

Add a bookmark: :bookmark <name> saves cwd under name. If name is empty the current directory base-name is used.

§

Jump(String)

Jump to a previously saved bookmark: :jump <name>.

§

Plugin

Run a custom plugin action: :plugin <name> [arg].

Fields

§name: String
§

Term(TermCommand)

Drive the terminal panel: :term, :term new [profile], :term close, :term <n>, :term max.

§

Unmark

Unmark every marked entry: :unmark.

§

ConfigWrite

Save this session’s :set changes into the config file: :config write.
