An enum representing a single, discrete step in an agent’s execution trace.

RunItem is used to log the history of a conversation, which can then be stored in a session for maintaining context.

Variants§

Message(MessageItem)

A message from the user or the assistant.

ToolCall(ToolCallItem)

A request from the agent to call a tool.

§

ToolOutput(ToolOutputItem)

The output of a tool execution.

Handoff(HandoffItem)

A handoff of control from one agent to another.
