DowncastError

Struct DowncastError

Source
pub struct DowncastError { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

A failed Error::downcast, carrying the original error back.

Deliberately not an error type itself: the only way past it is into_error, so the original error cannot be replaced by a shell describing the failure through ? or .into().

Implementations§

Source§

impl DowncastError

Source

pub fn failure(&self) -> DowncastFailure

Why the downcast failed.

Source

pub fn error(&self) -> &Error

The error the downcast was attempted on.

Source

pub fn into_error(self) -> Error

Hands the original error back.
