Struct RemoteMappingDiagnostic

Source
pub struct RemoteMappingDiagnostic {
    pub relation_id: String,
    pub field: String,
    pub tool: Tool,
    pub message: String,
}
Expand description

The record emitted when a remote tracker cannot hold a piece of local data — a relation (FR-005, C-005, data-model.md §6), a parent reference, a health value, a project association (WP08, mission first-class-projects-01M3BYBW), or an epic reference (WP08, mission epics-work-items-01M3BYW4).

The four fields are fixed by the data model. field is the important one: it is what makes the diagnostic actionable rather than a shrug, and data-model.md §6 requires it for exactly that reason — “so the message can name it”.

One type for all of them because the vocabulary matters more than the noun: a reader of tix export output learns one shape (“tool: field cannot represent this local data (subject) — reason”) and does not have to recognise which kind of local data each line is about. The subject in relation_id is whatever the diagnostic is about — a relationship id, an issue->parent pair, a health scope, an issue->project pair, or an issue->epic pair.

Fields§

§relation_id: String

The local item the diagnostic is about: a relationship id, an issue->parent pair, a health scope, or an issue->project pair.

§field: String

The specific unsupported remote field or relation name.

§tool: Tool

Which adapter produced the diagnostic.

§message: String

Human-readable text, safe for CLI output, the TUI, and lint.
