The outcome of one relationship mutation.

A typed relationship is a single directed edge, so a mutation normally writes exactly one issue file — the one whose frontmatter owns the canonical edge. written is None when the mutation was a no-op (an already-present edge, or an absent edge on remove), which is what makes “an idempotent re-apply appends no second History event” checkable.
