Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

BufferTooSmall

The output buffer cannot hold the encoded text or decoded bytes.

decode_fixed also reports input that decodes to more than its N bytes this way, since it decodes into an N-byte buffer.

InvalidEncoding

The input contains a character outside the case-sensitive alphabet.

InvalidLength

Decoding succeeded but the identifier has the wrong byte length.

decode_fixed reports only too-short input this way; too-long input is Error::BufferTooSmall.
