WriteOptions

Struct WriteOptions

Source
pub struct WriteOptions {
    pub dry_run: bool,
    pub correction: bool,
    pub origin: Option<ImeOrigin>,
}
Expand description

What a write through TextInputEditor::replace_text may do.

Fields§

§dry_run: bool

Say where the text would land, and change nothing (QueryInsert, TS_IAS_QUERYONLY on Windows).

§correction: bool

A correction: the new text takes the replaced text’s character format (TS_ST_CORRECTION).

§origin: Option<ImeOrigin>

Who the text comes from, when the input system says: the field reports what lands under that origin’s EditSource (teksilo-widgets), and dictated text or a Writing Tools rewrite goes in through the field’s rules like any other write (a line break makes a paragraph in a rich text editor, a single-line field drops it). None is the input system’s ordinary write, reported as an input method’s. A write inside a composition ignores it: the composition’s text is reported under the origin TextInputEditor::end_composition is handed.
