Errors returned by the runtime’s submission and worker paths.
Variants§
MissingHeader(&'static str)
A step job is missing the crate::HEADER_RUN_ID header.
Permanent: a misconfigured job will not become valid on retry.
InvalidStepHeader
A step job’s crate::HEADER_STEP header is not a valid u32.
Permanent: header value won’t change across retries.
ReservedHeaderInSubmit(String)
A submission included a user header starting with the reserved
workflow.* prefix. The runtime owns that prefix; submitters must use
any other key.
InvalidRunId
A run id or group id is empty, longer than
crate::MAX_RUN_ID_LEN bytes or contains a character outside
[A-Za-z0-9_-]. See crate::RunId.
InputMismatch(RunId)
A re-submission of run_id carried spec.input bytes that differ
from the original submission’s: the run is active, or it is a
typed job whose run result record is retained. Reusing a run_id
with new input is treated as a programmer error: pick a fresh
run_id for a new run.
InconsistentRunState(RunId)
The durable records of a run disagree with one another. The runtime writes and deletes them together, so the error reports a store the runtime did not write.
ReservedKvKey(String)
A caller KV key passed via crate::RunSpec::effects or staged through
an crate::EffectsHandle starts with the reserved workflow/ prefix.
The runtime owns that prefix. A caller must use another key.
ConflictingKvEffect(String)
A key was staged through an crate::EffectsHandle for both a
write and a delete within one step. The combination has no defined
order in the settlement transaction and is rejected when the
second operation is staged.
EffectsSealed
An effect was staged through an crate::EffectsHandle or
crate::TerminalEffects clone after its delivery returned.
Effects are collected when the runner or hook returns; an effect
staged after that point cannot join the settlement.
Queue(Error)
Underlying error from a Taquba queue operation.
Store(Error)
Reading or writing a blob in object storage failed.
Serialization(Error)
Serializing a value for workflow storage failed.
Deserialization(Error)
Deserializing a stored value, a typed input or a typed output failed.
RunNotFound(RunId)
A wait named a run the runtime has no record of: never submitted, or terminated with no record retained.
MemberNotSubmitted
A group operation waited on a member of the manifest that was
not submitted; RunGroup::resume
submits it.
DuplicateMemberKey(String)
Two members of one group have the same key.
GroupMismatch(RunId)
A submission to an existing group supplied a different member set than the group’s manifest.
GroupNotFound(RunId)
A group operation named a group with no manifest.
Implementations§
Source§impl Error
impl Error
Sourcepub fn is_permanent(&self) -> bool
pub fn is_permanent(&self) -> bool
True if retrying the operation will not change the outcome; callers should fast-fail (e.g. dead-letter a step, mark a submission as failed) rather than back off and try again.
Self::Queue delegates to taquba::Error::is_permanent.

Source§fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the foreground set to
value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like red() and
green(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Set foreground color to white using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};

fn bg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the background set to

This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like on_red() and
on_green(), which have the same functionality but
are pithier.
§Example
Set background color to red using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};

fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the styling Attribute value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use
attribute-specific builder methods like bold() and
underline(), which have the same functionality
but are pithier.
§Example
Make text bold using attr():
use yansi::{Paint, Attribute};
painted.attr(Attribute::Bold);Make text bold using using bold().

Source§fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the yansi Quirk value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use quirk-specific
builder methods like mask() and
wrap(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk():
use yansi::{Paint, Quirk};
painted.quirk(Quirk::Wrap);Enable wrapping using wrap().
use yansi::Paint;
painted.wrap();Source§fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
👎Deprecated since 1.0.1: renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>

Source§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the Condition value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:
use yansi::{Paint, Condition};
painted.red().on_yellow().whenever(Condition::STDOUTERR_ARE_TTY);Source§impl<T> Pointable for T
