Expand description

Where a log stream goes and how it authenticates.

Most of this is conditional on destinationType: the s3* fields apply to S3, the gcs* fields to GCS, and url, user and token to the vendors.

Fields§

§log_type: Option<String>

One of LOG_TYPES.

§destination_type: Option<String>§url: Option<String>

Often empty for S3, where the official endpoint is used.

§user: Option<String>§upload_period_minutes: Option<i64>

A wait between uploads. Logs that do not fit in one upload are sent in several regardless.

§compression_format: Option<String>

One of COMPRESSION_FORMATS, defaulting to none.

§token: Option<Secret>§s3_bucket: Option<String>§s3_region: Option<String>§s3_key_prefix: Option<String>§s3_authentication_type: Option<String>§s3_access_key_id: Option<String>§s3_secret_access_key: Option<Secret>§s3_role_arn: Option<String>

The role Tailscale assumes under rolearn authentication.

§s3_external_id: Option<String>

What Tailscale presents to AWS under rolearn authentication; see AwsExternalId.

§gcs_bucket: Option<String>§gcs_key_prefix: Option<String>§gcs_scopes: Option<Vec<String>>§gcs_credentials: Option<Secret>

Workload identity credentials, as GCS’s own JSON document.

§unknown: Unknown

Everything the description did not mention, kept so that a control plane ahead of this build still answers usefully.
