pub enum McpDiscovery {
Inline,
Background,
}Expand description
How engine boot treats configured MCP servers that have no
fingerprint-matching descriptor-cache entry (see setup_lazy_mcp).
Variants§
Inline
Discover them during boot, before the host is returned (bounded:
in parallel, each under the seed timeout). In-process modes (TUI
without daemon, chat, agent, server).
Background
Boot registers cached descriptors only; discovery of the missing
servers runs later in a background task
(crate::EngineHost::spawn_background_mcp_discovery), so a hung or
dead server can never delay readiness. Used by the daemon, which must
signal ready within the auto-spawner’s bound.
