Generic capability declaration returned by an extension’s
initialize response.
Core does not interpret kind or params — those are contracts
between the plugin and whatever consumer (chatui glue, another
plugin, an external watcher) cares about that capability kind. The
host only enforces that the plugin holds every permission it
declares it needs.
Fields§
§kind: StringFree-form capability kind tag chosen by the plugin author.
Examples: "capture", "ocr", "agent", "clipboard_mirror".
Must be non-empty; otherwise opaque to core.
name: StringHuman-readable display name shown in /extensions status and
similar surfaces. Must be non-empty.
permissions: Vec<String>Permission names this capability needs at runtime, e.g.
["audio.input"]. Every entry must parse to a known
crate::extensions::permissions::Permission and be present
in the extension’s granted permission set.
params: ValueFree-form metadata. Core stores and forwards but never interprets. Plugins use this for endpoint URLs, mode lists, version tags, anything that doesn’t fit the typed slots.
