pub enum ToolEffect {
ReadOnly,
IdempotentWrite,
NonIdempotent,
}Expand description
Conservative tool effect classes (Task 24, spec §8.2). Declared by the
implementation, recorded in the catalog at registration, and consumed
by the stream scheduler: only ReadOnly (or proven non-conflicting
keyed writes) run concurrently; everything else serializes. Unknown/
dynamic tools default to NonIdempotent — the safest class.
Variants§
ReadOnly
No observable side effects; safe to run concurrently.
IdempotentWrite
Repeatable write with a stable target; conflicts are detected via the concurrency key (same key => model-order serial execution).
NonIdempotent
Arbitrary side effects; serialized by default.
