#[non_exhaustive]pub struct AppliedCompaction {
pub session: Session,
pub api_messages: Vec<Arc<Value>>,
pub previous_session_id: String,
pub chains_advanced: Vec<String>,
pub policy: CompactionPolicy,
}Expand description
What the engine applied. Pure data — the frontend adopts these fields; all persistence already happened (successor-first save ordering).
TYPED ENTRY (fix1 T36 strengthening): #[non_exhaustive] prevents
downstream crates from constructing this transition result directly —
the supported way for a frontend to obtain an AppliedCompaction is to
call apply_compaction, so “every frontend compacts through the
one engine transition” is compiler-enforced, not convention.
Fields (Non-exhaustive)§
This struct is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional
Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.session: SessionSession to adopt (successor, or the in-place-updated session).
api_messages: Vec<Arc<Value>>History to adopt (canonical summary context + flushed events/queue).
previous_session_id: StringThe session id that was compacted.
chains_advanced: Vec<String>Named chains whose heads advanced to the successor.
policy: CompactionPolicyThe policy that was applied.
