CommandOutput

Struct CommandOutput

Source
pub struct CommandOutput { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Output collected from a finished command.

Chunks retain the order in which the executor observed stdout and stderr. This is not a guarantee of the order in which the process wrote to separate operating-system pipes.

Implementations§

Source§

impl CommandOutput

Source

pub fn empty() -> Self

Creates command output without any chunks.

Source

pub fn new(stdout: impl Into<Bytes>) -> Self

Creates output containing one stdout chunk.

Source

pub fn from_chunks(chunks: impl IntoIterator<Item = CommandOutputChunk>) -> Self

Creates output from chunks in the order they were observed.

Empty chunks are discarded.

Source

pub fn chunks(&self) -> &[CommandOutputChunk]

Returns the ordered stdout and stderr chunks.

Source

pub fn stdout(&self) -> impl Iterator<Item = &Bytes>

Iterates over borrowed stdout chunks in observed order.

Source

pub fn stderr(&self) -> impl Iterator<Item = &Bytes>

Iterates over borrowed stderr chunks in observed order.

Source

pub fn as_bytes(&self) -> Cow<'_, [u8]>

Returns all output bytes in observed chunk order.

Source

pub fn to_string_lossy(&self) -> Cow<'_, str>

Converts all output to text in observed chunk order.

Source

pub fn into_bytes(self) -> Vec<u8> ⓘ

Returns all output bytes in observed chunk order.

A single chunk reuses its allocation when it is uniquely owned; multiple chunks are concatenated with one copy.

Source

pub fn into_string_lossy(self) -> String

Converts all output to owned text in observed chunk order.

Source

pub fn len(&self) -> usize

Returns the number of bytes across all chunks.

Source

pub fn is_empty(&self) -> bool

Returns true when there is no stdout or stderr output.
