Retry policy for individual tasks — transparent retries on failure, independent of try/catch retry mechanisms.

Unlike catch.retry which wraps an entire try block and exposes errors to catch logic, TaskRetryPolicy performs transparent retries: if the task succeeds within the retry limit, the failure is invisible to the workflow.

§max: u32

Maximum number of retry attempts

§delay: Option<String>

Delay between retries. Supports ISO 8601 duration strings (e.g., “PT1S”, “PT5M”) or runtime expressions (e.g., “${ .retryDelay }”)

§backoff: Option<TaskRetryBackoff>

Backoff strategy: “fixed” (default), “linear”, or “exponential”

§when: Option<Vec<String>>

Conditions under which to retry. Matches against error kind (e.g., “communication”, “timeout”) or HTTP status patterns (e.g., “5xx”, “429”). If empty, retries on all errors.
