How a replacement is chosen from the currently eligible proxies.

Variants

RoundRobin

Visit proxies in candidate-list order, wrapping at the end.

Random

Choose uniformly among eligible proxies other than the current one.

ShuffledRoundRobin

Visit every eligible proxy once in a randomly shuffled round. New and recovered proxies join the next round; unavailable proxies are skipped. Consecutive rounds do not immediately repeat a proxy when there is an alternative. Request/time limits still apply to each selection.
