Expand description

What one child runs. Compress: files concatenated as one stream, written to out (discarded when None). Decompress: exactly one file, the compressed copy; out is None.

Implementations§

Source§

impl ChildJob

Source

pub fn to_args(&self) -> Vec<OsString>

The arguments after CHILD_ARG: <side> <codec> <level|-> <threads|-> <memory-limit> <out|-> [<len> <path>]…, side being compress or decompress, every number in decimal. The decompress side ignores the level (the parent sends -). out is - for none; the parent’s is always an absolute temp path. Paths go as they are (not through UTF-8), each its own argument.

Source

pub fn from_args(args: &[OsString]) -> Result<Self, String>

Parses ChildJob::to_args’s form back. The codec must be one of this build’s.
