pub struct NatClassification {
pub nat_type: &'static str,
pub public_ip: Option<IpAddr>,
pub observations: Vec<StunObservation>,
pub queried: u32,
pub succeeded: u32,
}Expand description
Result of NAT classification.
nat_type interpretation:
"cone"— all responding servers reported the SAME public port → the NAT uses a single mapping per source socket regardless of destination.punchwill work to any peer."symmetric"— responding servers reported DIFFERENT public ports → the NAT allocates a fresh public port per destination.punchwill FAIL because the port the peer punches at (learned from one STUN server) won’t be the port your traffic to them uses. Requires a TURN relay to recover."unknown"— fewer than 2 servers responded → can’t classify; don’t draw conclusions.
