Expand description

How far the search may go before it stops and says so.

Every direction a search can grow has a number here, because a certificate set somebody else controls grows in all of them: deeper chains, wider fan-out at each step, more paths that differ in one certificate, more policies in each certificate. The defaults are what a browser can spend on a document somebody sent, not what a server can spend on its own inventory.

Fields§

§depth: usize

How many certificates a path may hold, the anchor aside.

§visited: usize

How many times a certificate may be entered at some depth.

§edges: usize

How many candidate issuers may be considered in total.

§work: u64

How much work the checks along the way may cost.

§paths: usize

How many paths may be returned.

§policies: usize

How many graph nodes, retained parent edges and expected policy OIDs one path’s policy processing may hold together. Scratch capacity is additionally admitted by the shared execution account.
