Struct Policy

pub struct Policy<'a> {
    pub wanted: &'a [Oid<'a>],
    pub explicit: bool,
    pub mapping: bool,
    pub any: bool,
}
Expand description

What the caller was asking about, before any certificate was read.

The defaults are a validator with no policy of its own: it asks what the authorities agreed on rather than whether they agreed on one thing, and reads what the certificates say rather than overriding it. A caller with a policy of its own says so here, and gets paths that satisfy it or none.

Fields§

§wanted: &'a [Oid<'a>]

The policies the caller is asking about. Empty asks about all of them, and a path then carries whatever its authorities agreed on.

§explicit: bool

Whether every path must name a policy, rather than only those an authority along the way demanded it of.

§mapping: bool

Whether a policy one authority maps to another’s is honoured.

§any: bool

Whether the identifier standing for any policy is read as the certificate meant it.
