AttributeValue

Struct AttributeValue

Source
pub struct AttributeValue<'a> { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

The value of an attribute, as it was encoded.

Implementations§

Source§

impl<'a> AttributeValue<'a>

Source

pub fn as_bytes(self) -> &'a [u8] ⓘ

The value exactly as it was encoded, tag included.

Source

pub fn contents(self) -> &'a [u8] ⓘ

The contents, without the tag and length.

Source

pub fn encoding(self) -> Encoding

Which string encoding this was written in.

Source

pub fn text(self, execution: &Memory) -> Result<Option<OwnedString>>

The value as text for a person to read, where it is text at all.

Bounded, because this is the public reading path and a value may be as wide as the element limit permits while several attribute types have no ceiling in the schema. What is shown is as much of the value as the widest name component the profile names, and a mark saying the rest is there. Identity is the bytes and is never this.

The returned string retains its storage charge independently of the parser.

§Errors

Returns a located resource error before unfunded decoding or allocation.
