Enum Algorithm

#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum Algorithm<'a, 'parameters> { RsaPkcs1v15(Algorithm), RsaPss(&'parameters Parameters<'a>), Dsa(Algorithm), Ecdsa(Algorithm), Ed25519, Ed448, MlDsa(ParameterSet), }
Expand description

A recognized signature structure, not backend support or authorization.

Fixed digests are implied by the signature OID; no encoded digest identifier is fabricated. The caller keeps the original signature identifier for provenance, provider dispatch and unsupported-algorithm diagnostics.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

RsaPkcs1v15(Algorithm)

RSA PKCS#1 v1.5 with the indicated digest.

§

RsaPss(&'parameters Parameters<'a>)

Original PSS parameters, without narrowing integers or choosing a backend.

§

Dsa(Algorithm)

DSA with SHA-1, SHA-224 or SHA-256.

§

Ecdsa(Algorithm)

ECDSA with the indicated digest.

§

Ed25519

Pure Ed25519: not Ed25519ph or Ed25519ctx.

§

Ed448

Pure Ed448: not Ed448ph.

§

MlDsa(ParameterSet)

Pure ML-DSA; certificate/CRL verification requires an empty context. This does not authorize HashML-DSA or imply a finalized-message digest.
