Expand description

Configuration for the QUIC network manager.

Controls connection timeouts, TLS settings, and NAT traversal options.

Fields§

§timeout_ms: u64

Connection timeout in milliseconds

§idle_timeout_ms: u64

QUIC idle timeout in milliseconds. Connections with no activity for this duration will be closed. Set higher for MPC use cases with long pauses between computations. Default: 300,000ms (5 minutes).

§max_retries: u32

Maximum connection retry attempts

§use_tls: bool

Enable TLS encryption (should be true for production)

§enable_nat_traversal: bool

Enable NAT traversal features

§stun_servers: Vec<SocketAddr>

STUN servers for reflexive address discovery

§enable_hole_punching: bool

Enable hole punching for peer-to-peer connections

§hole_punch_timeout_ms: u64

Timeout for hole punching attempts (milliseconds)

§ice_config: IceAgentConfig

ICE agent configuration

§expected_parties: Option<usize>

Expected number of parties (nodes). None = don’t gate on party count.

§expected_clients: Option<usize>

Expected number of clients. None = don’t gate on client count.

§consensus_timeout_ms: u64

Timeout for consensus protocol (ms). Default: 60_000.

Implementations§

Source§

impl QuicNetworkConfig

Source

pub fn validate(&self) -> Result<(), QuicConfigError>

Validates the configuration.

§Errors

Returns an error if:

  • timeout_ms is zero
  • The embedded ice_config fails validation
§Note

If enable_nat_traversal is true but stun_servers is empty, the configuration is still valid, but NAT traversal will not discover reflexive addresses.

Source

pub fn with_nat_traversal() -> QuicNetworkConfig

Creates a config with NAT traversal enabled

Source

pub fn stun_servers(self, servers: Vec<SocketAddr>) -> QuicNetworkConfig

Sets custom STUN servers

Source

pub fn nat_traversal(self, enabled: bool) -> QuicNetworkConfig

Enables or disables NAT traversal
