Variants

AuthenticationFailed

The ciphertext did not authenticate.

A wrong key, a wrong nonce, a modified tag and a truncated ciphertext all collapse into this one variant on purpose; see AEADCipher::decrypt.

CipherError(String)

The cipher failed while encrypting.
