Distinct from a failure: these are configurations in which marking is correctly not attempted, so they must not be reported as provenance faults.

Variants

NotConfigured

No data root is configured, so no pod repo can be located.

NotGitBacked

The pod is not git-backed (no .git at the pod root) — in-memory and cloud-backed pods.

ExcludedPath

A control-plane or provenance sidecar (*.acl, *.meta, *.prov.ttl). Marking these would either recurse or record control traffic as content.

Container

A container path, which is not a file write.

UnresolvablePath

The resource path did not resolve to a {pod}/{rest} pair.
