pub enum ResponseAudience {
Public,
Private,
}Expand description
How a response’s audience bears on its cacheability.
The distinction that matters is who could have received this body, not what type it is. A response produced under credentials, or one an anonymous client would not have been given, is specific to its requester and must never be re-served from a shared cache to someone else.
Variants§
Public
An anonymous request would receive the same body — safe to cache under the normal media-type policy.
Private
The response was produced under credentials, or the resource is not readable anonymously. Must be marked private and non-storable.
