How an action’s transactions run. Only meaningful for an action that carries transactions: one that carries none is a schedule entry for account_overrides.

Variants

Simulate

Runs against session state without committing. Each transaction’s writes are visible to the next one in the same action and to nothing else, so the replay is unaffected.

Send

Executes and commits to the session ledger. The writes are visible to every later slot, including the historical transactions that follow — a deliberate change to the replayed world, not a simulation of one. Rejected under replay_account_state, where the recording restamps account state and the commit would be lost.
