Expand description

Failure while constructing the canonical alphabet or a strict tone row.

Variants§

§

Alphabet(AlphabetError)

The canonical pitch-class alphabet could not be constructed.

§

Aggregate(SeriesError)

The supplied row failed canonical membership or exactly-once validation.

§

OrdinalMap(OrdinalMapError)

A caller-supplied ordinal permutation was not a complete bijection.

§

SegmentOutOfBounds

A contiguous row segment reached outside the twelve row positions.

Fields

§start: usize

Zero-based start ordinal requested by the caller.

§len: usize

Number of row positions requested from start.

§

WrappedSegmentTooLong

A wrapped row segment exceeded the row length.

Fields

§len: usize

Number of row positions requested for the wrapped segment.

§

InvalidOrdinal

An indexed segment referenced an invalid row ordinal.

Fields

§ordinal: usize

Zero-based row ordinal that fell outside 0..12.

§

EmptyPartitionBlock

A requested partition block contained no row ordinals.

Fields

§block_index: usize

Zero-based block index in caller order.

§

DuplicatePartitionOrdinal

A requested partition assigned one row ordinal to more than one block.

Fields

§ordinal: u8

Zero-based row ordinal that appeared more than once.

§first_block_index: usize

First block index that claimed the ordinal.

§second_block_index: usize

Later block index that duplicated the ordinal.

§

PartitionCoverageMismatch

A requested partition failed to cover the full row exactly once.

Fields

§missing: Vec<u8>

Zero-based row ordinals that were not assigned to any block.

§

InvalidPartitionSize

A derivation or combinatoriality partition size was unsupported.

Fields

§size: usize

The invalid partition size requested by the caller.
