Validity policy applied when an instant falls outside table coverage.

Variants

Strict

Errors outside table coverage. Use for precision GNSS pipelines.

Permissive

Clamps/extrapolates outside coverage and marks the result degraded. This is the historical Skyfield-parity behaviour and the default.
