Struct StringObj

Source
#[repr(C)]
pub struct StringObj { pub header: HeapHeader, pub data: *const u8, pub len: u32, pub _pad: u32, }
Expand description

Refcounted, repr(C) string for v2 runtime. Total: 24 bytes (header 8 + data ptr 8 + len 4 + pad 4).

Fields§

§header: HeapHeader§data: *const u8

Pointer to UTF-8 bytes. NOT null-terminated.

§len: u32

Byte length (not char count).

§_pad: u32

Implementations§

Source§

impl StringObj

Source

pub const OFFSET_DATA: usize = 8

Byte offset constants for JIT codegen.

Source

pub const OFFSET_LEN: usize = 16

Source

pub fn new(s: &str) -> *mut Self

Allocate a new StringObj from a &str. Copies the bytes.

Source

pub unsafe fn as_str(ptr: *const Self) -> &'static str

Get string as &str.

§Safety

ptr must point to a valid, live StringObj.

Source

pub unsafe fn len(ptr: *const Self) -> u32

Byte length of the string.

§Safety

ptr must point to a valid, live StringObj.

Source

pub unsafe fn is_empty(ptr: *const Self) -> bool

Whether the string is empty.

§Safety

ptr must point to a valid, live StringObj.

Source

pub unsafe fn drop(ptr: *mut Self)

Free the StringObj and its data buffer.

§Safety

ptr must point to a valid StringObj with no remaining references. Must not be called more than once on the same pointer.

Trait Implementations§

Source§

impl HeapElement for StringObj

Source§

unsafe fn release_elem(ptr: *const Self)

Decrement the reference count of *ptr. If the refcount reaches zero, fully deallocate the object (including any nested payload buffers per the implementor’s drop semantics). Read more
