Unicode script classification for a single character.

Used to determine whether whitespace should be inserted around individual characters (e.g. CJK) or whether a word-based tokenization strategy is appropriate.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

Latin

Latin characters (includes Latin Extended).

Cjk

CJK Unified Ideographs and related blocks.

Cyrillic

Cyrillic script.

Arabic

Arabic script.

Devanagari

Devanagari script (used for Hindi, Sanskrit, etc.).

Hebrew

Hebrew script.

Other

Any script not listed above.
