Identifies which algorithm was used to produce a CompressionResult.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
None
No compression — data is stored verbatim.
Rle
Run-length encoding: (count, value) pairs.
DeltaEncoding
Delta encoding: first byte + signed deltas.
Lz77Lite
Simplified LZ77 sliding-window compression.
DictionaryCoding
Dictionary coding: symbol table + indices.
HuffmanCoding
Huffman coding: variable-length prefix codes.
OxiLz4
LZ4 via oxiarc-lz4 (COOLJAPAN policy). Fast, moderate compression.
OxiZstd
Zstandard via oxiarc-zstd (COOLJAPAN policy). Balanced speed/ratio.
OxiBrotli
Brotli via oxiarc-brotli (COOLJAPAN policy). High compression for text.
