Enum SqsError

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum SqsError { Config(String), Queue { name: String, source: Box<dyn StdError + Send + Sync>, }, Receive { queue: String, source: Box<dyn StdError + Send + Sync>, }, Publish { destination: String, source: Box<dyn StdError + Send + Sync>, }, Admin { name: String, source: Box<dyn StdError + Send + Sync>, }, NotConnected, InvalidQueue(String), }
Expand description

Errors returned by the Amazon SQS/SNS broker.

One enum for the whole crate, variants by source, per the RustStream broker conventions. The wrapped sources are boxed std errors so the public API does not leak the SDK’s layered error types (they are formatted with their full cause chain).

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

Config(String)

Loading the AWS configuration failed.

§

Queue

Resolving a queue name to its URL (or creating the queue) failed.

Fields

§name: String

The queue name or URL the call was about.

§source: Box<dyn StdError + Send + Sync>

The SDK’s failure, with its cause chain.

§

Receive

Receiving from a queue failed.

Fields

§queue: String

The queue URL the receive targeted.

§source: Box<dyn StdError + Send + Sync>

The SDK’s failure, with its cause chain.

§

Publish

Sending a message (SQS) or publishing a notification (SNS) failed.

Fields

§destination: String

The queue or topic the message targeted.

§source: Box<dyn StdError + Send + Sync>

The SDK’s failure, with its cause chain.

§

Admin

A topic admin call (create, subscribe) failed.

Fields

§name: String

The topic or subscription the call was about.

§source: Box<dyn StdError + Send + Sync>

The SDK’s failure, with its cause chain.

§

NotConnected

The handle is used before connect filled the shared connection, or after shutdown.

§

InvalidQueue(String)

A queue descriptor is invalid.
