PubSubError

Enum PubSubError

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum PubSubError { Connect(Box<dyn StdError + Send + Sync>), Admin { name: String, source: Box<dyn StdError + Send + Sync>, }, Receive { subscription: String, source: Box<dyn StdError + Send + Sync>, }, Publish { topic: String, source: Box<dyn StdError + Send + Sync>, }, NotConnected, InvalidDescriptor(String), }
Expand description

Errors returned by the Google Cloud Pub/Sub broker.

One enum for the whole crate, variants by source, per the RustStream broker conventions. The wrapped sources are boxed std errors so the public API does not leak the client’s error types.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

Connect(Box<dyn StdError + Send + Sync>)

Building a client (authentication or connection setup) failed.

§

Admin

A topic or subscription admin call failed.

Fields

§name: String

The resource the call was about.

§source: Box<dyn StdError + Send + Sync>

The client’s failure.

§

Receive

Fields

§subscription: String

The subscription the stream was pulling from.

§source: Box<dyn StdError + Send + Sync>

The client’s failure.

§

Publish

Publishing to a topic failed.

Fields

§topic: String

The topic the message was published to.

§source: Box<dyn StdError + Send + Sync>
