Variants

Starting

The service is initializing.

Running

The service’s main run() loop is executing.

BackingOff

The service failed and is waiting for the backoff timer to expire.

Stopping

A shutdown signal was received; the service is performing cleanup.

Terminated

Terminal state — the service has exited.
