Stable reason a filesystem identity operation was rejected.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

InvalidPath

The path is relative, empty, or cannot be passed to the operating system safely.

NotDirectory

The retained filesystem object is not a directory.

NotRegularFile

The retained filesystem object is not a regular file.

ReparsePoint

The retained filesystem object is a symbolic link or Windows reparse point.

MultipleLinks

A regular file has a filesystem link count other than exactly one.

IdentityUnavailable

The filesystem did not provide the required persistent identity fields.

OperatingSystem(DirectoryIdentityOperation)

A filesystem operation failed.

InvalidEncoding

A persisted identity string is not in the stable canonical format.

IdentityMismatch

The reopened filesystem object does not have the expected identity.

UnsupportedPlatform

The target platform has no supported handle-bound filesystem identity implementation.
