Expand description

Identifying subset of an EVPN route — the fields that make two routes distinct per RFC 7432. Suitable as a HashMap key in the RIB.

EAD per-ES and EAD per-EVI share a wire format but get distinct variants here so the RIB never accidentally collapses them.

Variants§

§

EadPerEs

Type 1 per-ES key.

Fields

§rd: RouteDistinguisher

Route Distinguisher.

§esi: EthernetSegmentIdentifier

Ethernet Segment Identifier.

§ethernet_tag: EthernetTagId

Ethernet Tag (MAX_ET for per-ES).

§

EadPerEvi

Type 1 per-EVI key.

Fields

§rd: RouteDistinguisher

Route Distinguisher.

§esi: EthernetSegmentIdentifier

Ethernet Segment Identifier.

§ethernet_tag: EthernetTagId

Ethernet Tag identifying the EVI.

§

MacIp

Type 2 key — RD, tag, MAC, optional IP.

Fields

§rd: RouteDistinguisher

Route Distinguisher.

§ethernet_tag: EthernetTagId

Ethernet Tag identifying the EVI.

§mac: MacAddress

MAC address.

§ip: Option<IpAddr>

Optional host IP (0, 32, or 128 bits on the wire).

§

Imet

Type 3 key.

Fields

§rd: RouteDistinguisher

Route Distinguisher.

§ethernet_tag: EthernetTagId

Ethernet Tag identifying the EVI.

§originator_ip: IpAddr

Originator Router IP.

§

Es

Type 4 key.

Fields

Route Distinguisher.

§esi: EthernetSegmentIdentifier

Ethernet Segment Identifier.

§originator_ip: IpAddr

Originator Router IP.

§

IpPrefix

Type 5 key.

Fields

§rd: RouteDistinguisher

Route Distinguisher.

§ethernet_tag: EthernetTagId

Ethernet Tag.

§prefix: EvpnIpPrefixValue
