Expand description

An extent tree laid out again over blocks the file already owns.

Fields§

§new_root: Vec<u8>

The 60 bytes for the inode’s i_block.

§block_writes: Vec<(u64, Vec<u8>)>

Blocks to write, and what to write into them. The tail checksum is the caller’s, as everywhere else here.

§used_nodes: Vec<u64>

The blocks from nodes that the layout used, in the order it used them. Everything else in nodes is now unreferenced.

§allocated_blocks: Vec<u64>

Blocks alloc handed out, when the file’s own were not enough. The caller accounts for them as it does for any allocation.
