ServiceDefinitionBuilder

Struct ServiceDefinitionBuilder

Source
pub struct ServiceDefinitionBuilder { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Builder for ServiceDefinition.

Mirrors the v1 super::super::builders::ServiceDefinitionBuilder API verbatim so consumers can swap use paths and keep the same call sites. v2 ships the same launcher + isolation field set as v1 (slice 22 of zccache#782) plus the v2-only HTTP capability slot.

Implementations§

Source§

impl ServiceDefinitionBuilder

Source

pub fn shared_broker( service_name: impl Into<String>, binary_path: impl Into<String>, ) -> Self

Start a builder for a service that opts in to the per-user shared broker (the common case for first-party tools).

service_name must satisfy validate_service_name (already enforced by write_service_definition_v2 at install time; the builder itself is permissive so a caller can finish constructing then validate once).

Source

pub fn private_broker( service_name: impl Into<String>, binary_path: impl Into<String>, ) -> Self

Start a builder for a service that uses a private per-service broker (the default — safest for third-party consumers).

Source

pub fn explicit_instance( service_name: impl Into<String>, binary_path: impl Into<String>, instance: impl Into<String>, ) -> Self

Start a builder pinned to a named broker instance (e.g. "ci-trusted" / "ci-untrusted").

Source

pub fn per_version_binary_dir(self, dir: impl Into<String>) -> Self

Pin the canonicalized binary-directory allow-list root.

Source

pub fn min_version(self, version: impl Into<String>) -> Self

Set the semver floor; broker refuses Hello below this.

Source

pub fn version_allow_list<I, S>(self, versions: I) -> Self
where I: IntoIterator<Item = S>, S: Into<String>,

Pin to a strict allow-list of versions.

Source

pub fn label(self, key: impl Into<String>, value: impl Into<String>) -> Self

Add a key/value label.

Source

pub fn build(self) -> ServiceDefinition

Finalize into a ServiceDefinition. Does not validate; call write_service_definition_v2 to validate + install.

Source

pub fn install_in(self, root: &Path) -> Result<PathBuf, ServiceDefinitionError>

Install into a specific service-definition directory. Equivalent to write_service_definition_v2(root, &self.build()).

§Errors

See write_service_definition_v2.

Source

pub fn install(self) -> Result<PathBuf, ServiceDefinitionError>

Install into the platform’s default v2 service-definition directory (service_definition_dir_v2).

§Errors

See write_service_definition_v2.

impl<T> Downcast for T
where T: Any,

Source§

fn into_any(self: Box<T>) -> Box<dyn Any>

Convert Box<dyn Trait> (where Trait: Downcast) to Box<dyn Any>. Box<dyn Any> can then be further downcast into Box<ConcreteType> where ConcreteType implements Trait.

Source§

fn as_any(&self) -> &(dyn Any + 'static)

Convert &Trait (where Trait: Downcast) to &Any. This is needed since Rust cannot generate &Any’s vtable from &Trait’s.
