SchedulerHandle

Struct SchedulerHandle

Source
pub struct SchedulerHandle { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Owns running scheduler loops and exposes their typed failures.

The handle buffers at most 256 undrained errors. When the buffer is full, newer errors are dropped, counted by Self::dropped_errors and emitted as tracing warnings. Drain Self::next_error to observe every failure.

Implementations§

Source§

impl SchedulerHandle

Source

pub async fn next_error(&mut self) -> Option<SchedulerError>

Waits for the next timeout, panic, or runtime failure reported by a task.

Source

pub fn try_next_error(&mut self) -> Option<SchedulerError>

Returns a pending scheduler failure without waiting.

Source

pub fn dropped_errors(&self) -> u64

Returns how many failures were dropped because the buffer was full.

Source

pub async fn shutdown(self) -> Result<(), SchedulerError>

Gracefully stops task loops, aborting any current handler execution.

§Errors

Returns the first reported task failure, or a typed loop join failure.

fn pin_drop(self: Pin<&mut Self>)

🔬This is a nightly-only experimental API. (pin_ergonomics)
Execute the destructor for this type, but different to Drop::drop, it requires self to be pinned. Read more
