TableSpans

Struct TableSpans

Source
pub struct TableSpans(/* private fields */);
Expand description

The spans of values anywhere in the storage, each given by a table of ranges of octets, relative to where the buffer starts: the table is a side allocation of the storage, so it lives as long as the storage without being counted, and slicing the values only moves the pointer to their ranges.

The span of a buffer built with a single value takes no table: the buffer starts where its value does, and the length of the value is held in place of the pointer, tagged by its lowest bit, which a table, aligned for its ranges, never has set.
