Static information about a device: what it is and where it runs.
None of this is something a client computes anything from, it is what it shows about a device, and all of it is decided by the server rather than by the device itself.
Fields§
§class: StringThe name of the class the device is an instance of.
server_id: StringThe exe/inst name of the server running the device, which is what it is
registered in the database under.
server_host: StringThe name of the host the server runs on.
server_version: i32The IDL version the server says it implements, which is a statement it makes about itself and decides nothing.
doc_url: Option<Cow<'static, str>>Where the documentation of the class is, when it has any.
dev_type: Option<Cow<'static, str>>What the device is, which is free text a class gives itself, absent for a device whose server is too old to have any.
version_info: Vec<(Cow<'static, str>, Cow<'static, str>)>The versions of whatever the server is built out of, as the pairs of a name and a version that the server chooses to publish. Empty for a server too old to have any, this being the one thing IDL v6 added.
