cache

On-disk index cache for roust, stored under <repo>/.roust/ – a Rust port of roust.cache (Python commit 16e7c71). See that module’s docstring for the full design rationale; the summary:

core

roust retrieval core – a Rust port of lab/lanes2.py (frozen v7 pipeline). Must stay retrieval-logic-identical to lanes2.py; see PARITY_NOTES.md for every place Python runtime semantics (dict/set ordering, Path comparison, str.splitlines(), hash randomization) required a deliberate, documented translation choice rather than a literal one.

history

Git-history mining for the semantic retrieval layer – a faithful port of lab/history.py. Single git log pass over the checked-out repo’s recent non-merge commit history, producing msgs (per-file commit message field), cochange (per-file co-committed partner counts, plus derived test-bridge edges), and meta (per-file commit/author summary, not consumed by any scoring path – kept for parity with the Python return shape only).
