}Expand description
Why a runtime operation failed, for callers that branch on the reason.
RuntimeError::operation names what was attempted; the kind says why it
failed. Several kinds share one catalog descriptor: a closed or poisoned
owner and a missing runtime context all report
runtime.context.unavailable, so only the kind tells them apart.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Closed
The owner, operation, lane or worker no longer admits work: it is shutting down, closed its admission, was cancelled or passed its deadline.
Poisoned
The owning task group was poisoned by a task panic and rejects new work.
TimedOut
A timeout or deadline elapsed while waiting.
CapacityExhausted
A bounded queue, budget or capacity is full.
Unsupported
The request is not supported, for example a schedule whose policy contradicts its configuration.
A required context is missing or in the wrong state, for example no current Tokio runtime.
Configuration
The configuration is invalid or could not be loaded.
Io
An I/O operation failed, including building the Tokio runtime.
Internal
An unexpected internal failure, including a failed task join.
